| Funny Office Pranks
There's nothing like a few good office pranks to make those long days go by. If you feel like working in a cubicle is a nightmare, then these ideas can help you get through the day, and make someone else miserable at the same time. It's a win-win situation.
Here are a few of my favorite office pranks:
Coffee Switch
Switch all the coffee in the office from normal to decaf. After a time, when everyone went through the caffeine withdrawal, switch it back to a even stronger flavor then before. Make sure you bring some normal coffee from home for yourself, while everybody else is suffering.
The Fake Ransom
Take a picture of one of your co-workers favorite items from their desk (plant, photo, stuffed animal), take the item and leave the picture instead, with a fake ransom letter.
The Desktop Hijack
Take a screenshot of the victim's computer desktop, then hide all the icons, and place the screenshot as wallpaper. He will see the icons in the wallpaper and if he doesn't know much about computers he'll have no idea why he clicks and clicks and none of them open. One of my favorite office pranks.
A Word Of Warning...
Though office pranks are quite fun to pull, you have to make sure that you don't take it too far. It would be a shame to be fired or sued because of some innocent fun. You should make sure that the future victim can take a joke, don't embarrass someone and that the office pranks don't bring the entire office to a halt, because the boss might not be too happy about that. Think what the consequences might be for your joke and remember that some things can be done to friends, but not at the workplace. The most care should probably be given to the prank if the victim is your boss. Don't do it if you don't know for sure that he will take it well, and don't make him the joke of the office. He will not take that well. |
